Dashboard Overview
The WPSEC dashboard is your central security command center. It provides a real-time overview of your site protection status.
Security Score
The security score at the top of the dashboard is calculated from multiple factors:
- Firewall status — Is the firewall active and blocking threats?
- Hardening level — How many hardening recommendations have been applied?
- Configuration quality — Are security settings properly configured?
- Update status — Are WordPress core, themes, and plugins up to date?
KPI Cards
The dashboard shows key performance indicators:
- Blocked Requests (24h / 7d / 30d) — Number of malicious requests stopped by the firewall.
- Active Threats — Currently tracked threat actors targeting your site.
- Hardening Score — Percentage of recommended security measures applied.
- Last Scan — When the most recent security scan was completed.
Recent Events
Below the KPIs, the activity feed shows recent security events such as blocked login attempts, firewall triggers, and scan results. Each event includes a timestamp, severity indicator, and description.
Dashboard Widget
WPSEC also adds a compact security widget to your WordPress admin dashboard (the main Dashboard page). This widget shows your current security score and recent threat counts at a glance.
Tip: Check your dashboard regularly. Sudden spikes in blocked requests can indicate a targeted attack campaign.
